Science fair fun for bright young sparks

Pupils at Charles Darwin Primary have become young experimenters at a science fair run by students from sister school Sir Isaac Newton Sixth Form.
The fair, which took place at the primary school in December, saw Reception and Year 1 pupils taking part in hands-on physics and chemistry experiments with a festive theme.
Students from the maths and science sixth form helped to plan and run the activities, which included making light-up reindeer using electrical circuits, and creating ‘magical’ potions.
Charles Darwin's Principal Jo Brown said: “The science fair was a great opportunity for us to collaborate with students from Sir Isaac Newton Sixth Form, who did an incredible job in planning these activities.
“Our pupils have a passion for exploring the surrounding world and we’re delighted to stretch their enquiring minds, with the excellent support of our sister schools.”
