Consultation on admissions policies

Published on 20/12/19

Inspiration Trust is consulting on changes to admission policies for the following academies:

● Jane Austen College
● Hethersett Academy

The draft policies are published on this page.

The consultation is open until Friday 31 January 2020.

Summary of changes

Jane Austen College:
It is proposed to reduce the Published Admissions Number (PAN) for external applicants to the sixth form. This is because the academy now has Year 11 students who do not form part of the PAN.

Hethersett Academy:
It is proposed to amend the over-subscription criteria to prioritise children who live in a designated catchment area. The proposed area served by the academy is detailed below and was the historic catchment area for the school: Bracon Ash (including the district of Hethel), Colney, Cringleford, East Carleton, Great Melton, Hethersett (including the district of Thickthorn), Keswick (including the district of Intwood), Ketteringham, Little Melton, Mulbarton and Swardeston (including the district of Mangreen).
